Radiesse in Frisco, TX

Radiesse® is an FDA-approved cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness for the correction of facial wrinkles and folds. It’s different from other fillers like Restylane and Juvederm in that it is not a hyaluronic acid-based gel. Radiesse is made of calcium-based microspheres and a carrier gel that stimulate your body to produce new collagen.
Collagen is the protein so essential for youthful looking skin. We start to lose this essential protein as we age, and the results are wrinkles and lax, dull skin. What’s different about Radiesse is that it instantly fills lines and smooths out wrinkles like other fillers, but it also stimulates your body to produce its own new collagen over time. The newly-formed collagen gives skin back the structure that’s been lost due to age. Because of its two-pronged approach to smoothing wrinkles and adding volume to your skin, Radiesse lasts up to a year or more in some patients. In addition, the results are very natural-looking.
Radiesse is primarily used on the following areas:
- Temples
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial folds
- Corners of the mouth
- Chin
- Back of the hands
- Along the jawline
Injections are applied to the mid layer (dermis) and the lowest layer (hypodermis) of the skin to reach the cellular level where collagen is produced, for optimal results. Deeper injections also ensure that Radiesse will not migrate to other areas of the face after injection. Deep doesn’t mean painful, however. We use an anesthetic topical cream as well as an anesthetic combined with the product itself to ensure the injections are more comfortable.
If you’re in the Frisco area and you think Radiesse may be right for you, please contact us for a consultation. Dr. White administers Radiesse herself, and she has many years of experience using this filler. Radiesse is a non-allergenic, natural filler, and adverse reactions are very rare.

Radiesse FAQ
Radiesse® is a cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness for the correction of facial wrinkles and folds. It is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres which is synthetically made and combined with a carrier gel. Radiesse® has a higher degree of viscosity and elasticity than hyaluronic acid fillers.
Radiesse® is injected under the skin with a small needle to fill in creases, lines, wrinkles, and folds. An anesthetic topical cream may be provided for comfort and there is also an anesthetic combined with the product itself.
Multiple treatments may be necessary for optimal results. Touch-up treatments may be required to achieve the desired results and will often enhance the longevity of the treatment. The product stimulates fibroblasts to enhance your body’s own production of collagen.
Possible side effects include swelling, redness and, in some cases, bruising. Generally these side effects disappear within a couple of days.
There is generally no downtime. The treatment session takes about thirty minutes to perform.
The final result leaves facial contours looking healthy, youthful, and fuller.
There may be slight redness or swelling which is temporary and may last two or three days. Your normal routine can be resumed immediately.
Your results will be visible immediately following the injection and more evident after any swelling diminishes.
Radiesse® may last up to one year in some people and helps your body stimulate its own collagen production. Factors such as age, skin type, and daily activities can affect longevity. Radiesse® degrades naturally into calcium and phosphate ions over time which are metabolized by the body’s natural processes.
Additional treatments will help to keep your results. As the product fades and collagen is stimulated, more product can be injected to maintain the desired appearance.
